The AJC is a voluntary service for local people who are looking for employment.
The Job Club is open to visitors every Thursday morning from 09:00 throughout the year. It is located at ‘Pippins’ on the corner of Lyme Road and Stoney Lane.
Need help with writing your CV and making applications?
The Job Club volunteers have experience of helping with writing CVs, letters and with filling in job applications forms, whether paper or on-line. Copies of the local newspapers are on hand with vacancies or news about local companies.
New to IT and computing and would like a bit of support?
The Job Club has laptops, printer and router and the volunteers will help you get started.
Co-located with Careers Service, the Citizens Advice Bureau and Benefits Advice Surgery
Operating with the Job Club is a representative from the Careers Service and in a separate area there is the Citizens Advice Bureau.
East Devon District Council run a housing benefit surgery from 9-11am upstairs at Pippins on a Thursday morning.
The Job Club offers tea and coffee for free!
